LifeWay Church's existing database application (SEARCh) was reaching the end of its lifecycle and potential. As a highly-complex MS Access database, many of the needed features were getting too complex to integrate into the existing application without rewriting all forms and controls.
The new site will allow LifeWay Church's staff to access necessary information quickly from any location, without requiring the installation of an expensive program like Microsoft Access. Features like "find as you type" with custom result renderings, pictures of members for ease of recognition, and highly ajax integrated functionality, the new site will increase efficiencies and let the staff focus on caring for their members.

The redeveloped site also includes a custom administrative area that allows me to update most of the content on the site at any time through a web browser.

For Christmas, the site employs a "pick-em" feature that dynamically draws a name out of a hat, which the user would then be an "elf" for.
